Selma Marguerite Bodiford, 84, of Port St. Joe, FL passed away Friday February 16, 2018 at Covenant Hospice in Panama City. Selma, daughter to the late Lee and Marie Jane Peters, was born December 5, 1933 in Columbus, GA. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and gardening. Selma was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness of Port St. Joe. Other than her parents, Selma is preceded in death by her husband Robert Bodiford, a great grandchild, several brothers, and sisters. Selma is survived by her children; Cynthia Stengel (Ronald) of Naples, FL., Rhonda Tull (Darrell) of Port St. Joe, FL., Deborah Greynolds (fiancé Frank Williams) of Port St. Joe, FL., Dianna Lanier (Don) of Mexico Beach, FL., Rick Needer of Eastpoint, FL., Leah Carter (Scott) of Cape San Blas, FL., and Steve Needer (Janel) of Ashville, NC; twenty grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Jackie A. Moore, 78, of Port St. Joe, FL died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at her home. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm EST, Thursday March 15, 2018 at Douglas Cemetery in Douglas, AL. Jackie was born November 19, 1939 in Horton, AL daughter of the late Jack and Lona Davidson. She loved her children and grandchildren; she loved the beach and palm trees. It made her happy to listen to the ocean from her back porch when the surf was rough. Other than her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by her husband John Gregory Moore; brothers Garnet Davidson, Leon Davidson, Wilford Davidson, and Bobby Ray Davidson; sister Cleo Goss; granddaughter Ashley Williamson and daughter-in-law Ann Moore. Survivors include her son Ronald Gregory Moore of Frisco, TX; daughter Tina Moore Williamson (Mike) of Port St. Joe, FL; grandchildren Jamie Moore and Heather Moore; dog “Allie Bama Crimson Tide”; grand dog “McKenzie Alden Williamson”; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. John Bertrand Scoggins Jr. of Canton, Georgia, known to family as “Papa John” and by friends as “John” or "Bert,” passed away on January 28th, 2018, at age 84 of complications from Alzheimer’s Disease. He joins his loving wife, Loretta and his beautiful daughter, Deanne, in eternal life. The day this man was born and died, are not nearly as relevant as all the days and nights in between, which he lived to the fullest. John will be lovingly remembered by his family and many friends as a lively “Rock n’ Roll” spirit who never passed up a good time, a caring father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, as well as a very successful businessman. He will be sorely missed by his four surviving children, Michael, Matthew, Clay and Chris. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. A Graveside Service in memory of John will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at 2:00p.m. EST, at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt Vernon Hwy NW, Sandy Springs, Georgia, with military honors. Shirley Roland Wagner, 81, of Port Saint Joe, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, FL. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30am ET Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Long Avenue Baptist Church, with Pastor Eli Prine officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Mrs. Wagner was born August 23, 1936 in Chester, GA. Daughter to the late J.D. Roland and late Leccie Mae Roland (Bacon). She retired after 20 years of service from the Department of Family and Children Services of Florida and held the position of Family Adoption Counselor. Mrs. Wagner was a member of Long Avenue Baptist Church. She, and her late husband Ronald Wagner, ministered frequently to the Baptist Christian Service Center in Panama City. They also ministered overseas to an orphanage overseas in Slovakia. Mrs. Wagner loved the Lord and spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening and the beach. She was a Godly woman and will be missed by all. Other than her parents, Mrs. Wagner is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ronald Wagner, son Roland “Rolo” Wagner and six siblings. She is survived by her children; Debra Morris (Charles) of Apalachicola, FL, Sheryl Register (Mancel) of Montevallo, AL, James A. Wagner of Port Saint Joe, FL, and Bryan K. Wagner (Tonya) of Lynn Haven, FL; grandchildren Tommy, David, Lisa Rae, Christopher, Amber, Jimmy, Jessica, Adam, Lael, Karissa and Lauren; 18 great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
